June 20, 2014- Doctor's appointment to check on a suspicious lump in the L breast. Was thought it might be a fibroadenoma (benign mass) and was told to watch it throughout a menstrual cycle for changes.
August 4, 2014- Ultrasound and mammogram after mass didn't change with cycle. I knew at that point it wasn't good news (when the techs say "they'll want to biopsy" and I could see vascularization on the ultrasound.).
-Imaging radiology scored as a BIRADS 5, highly likely of malignancy.
August 12, 2014 - Biopsy done. Fine needle aspiration of lymph node, core biopsy of mass, skin punch.
August 15, 2014 - Biopsy pathology reported. Mass positive for invasive ductal carcinoma, lymph sample atypical, skin punch negative.
And that's where this blog picks up...the doctor's appointments and tests and finding out that I have Stage III Breast Cancer and the treatment and life that has ensued.

March 25, 2020 - Diagnosed with Stage IV Metastatic Disease. Multiple nodules in all lobes of the lungs. Large metastasis to the sternum.
I share my thoughts, the latest news, and how I'm feeling to keep those who care (and I'm constantly amazed at how many people that is) up to date.
